Mrs. Pasupuleti Raghu Bala, Principal of Neo Geetanjali School, Nizampet, expressed her happiness at receiving the EducationNewsNetwork Award at the South India Educators’ Summit & Dynamic School Awards 2026. Reflecting on the event, she appreciated the opportunity to engage with fellow educators and learn from discussions on emerging approaches to education, particularly those focused on students’ character development.
Highlighting the importance of initiatives that nurture values alongside academic learning, she emphasised that schools must not become so focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and technological advancements that they overlook their cultural roots. She stressed the need to preserve traditions and cultural values while preparing students for a rapidly changing world.
“We are all after artificial intelligence or some other technology, but we are forgetting our roots and culture.”
Her message highlights the importance of balancing innovation with cultural awareness in modern education. While technology can enrich learning experiences, educators also have a responsibility to nurture character, strengthen cultural understanding, and help students remain connected to their heritage.
Mrs. Pasupuleti Raghu Bala urges educators to balance the use of artificial intelligence with cultural values in the learning process.
This balance can help students benefit from technology while developing respect, responsibility, and an understanding of their cultural roots.
AI can support personalised learning, provide additional resources, and help students explore concepts at their own pace.
Educators can guide students in using AI thoughtfully, evaluating information, and maintaining academic integrity.
Schools can integrate cultural awareness, ethical discussions, local traditions, and value-based activities into technology-enabled learning.
