Category: Dynamic School Awards
Dr. Usha Reddy, Director of GVK International Schools in Hyderabad and Nellore, described receiving the EducationNewsNetwork Award as an encouragement to continue strengthening educational practices. Speaking at the South India Educators’ Summit & Dynamic School Awards 2026, she reflected on the changing school environment, highlighting teacher retention, professional development and the responsible use of artificial intelligence as key priorities.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Reddy emphasised that schools must adapt to change while using AI to reduce routine administrative work and support teachers with fresh ideas. However, she stressed that technology cannot replace the contribution of an effective, adaptable teacher.
“Nobody can replace a great teacher; only a teacher who’s not adapted to change will definitely get replaced.”
She also urged educators to remain vigilant about children’s digital habits, encourage meaningful human interaction, and provide guidance on the responsible use of online platforms. Her message reinforces the need to combine technological progress with compassionate teaching, professional growth and active safeguarding to support students’ well-being.
Dr. Usha Reddy champions teacher development and children’s digital safety as important priorities in modern education.
Continuous teacher development helps educators strengthen their skills, update teaching practices, and respond to evolving student needs.
Children’s digital safety involves protecting students from online risks while helping them use digital platforms responsibly.
Schools can teach digital literacy, establish clear internet-use guidelines, encourage responsible online behaviour, and involve parents in awareness initiatives.
Well-trained educators can guide students in using technology responsibly, recognise potential online risks, and create safer digital learning environments.
