Mrs. N.S. Gayatri, Vice Principal of Nishulk Prabhat High School, Khetabad, expressed her happiness at receiving the EducationNewsNetwork Award during the South India Educators’ Summit & Dynamic School Awards 2026. Describing the recognition as an encouraging milestone, she noted that it acknowledged the hard work and collective efforts of her school community while motivating the team to achieve more.
Sharing her perspective on education, Mrs. Gayatri emphasised that learning begins long before children enter a classroom and extends well beyond academic subjects. She believes parents, teachers and school leaders all play an important role in shaping children’s values, behaviour and understanding of the world.
“Education is not only academics; it’s about everything. Every parent is an educator, every teacher, every principal. Everyone is an educator.”
Her message reinforces the importance of a shared approach to learning. When families and schools work together to nurture positive values, curiosity, and responsible behaviour, education becomes a continuous process that supports children’s overall development and contributes to a more thoughtful society.
Mrs. N.S. Gayatri is an education professional who highlights the importance of early learning and holistic development beyond academic achievement.
Early childhood is a crucial stage of development when children begin building language, social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills that support future learning.
Education should develop the whole child by nurturing creativity, communication, confidence, empathy, critical thinking, and practical life skills alongside academic knowledge.
Schools provide opportunities for children to explore their interests, participate in extracurricular activities, develop relationships, and learn important social and emotional skills.
Parents can encourage reading, creative activities, independent thinking, everyday problem-solving, social interaction, and positive values at home.
